i have a 1997 honda civic LX- d16y7 engine- auto transmission. about a week ago i was driving and i noticed my speedometer was goin crazy and ever since then my dashlights and headlights will fluctuate after pressing the gas pedal when my car is on until i power off.i first checked my alternator and the ppl at autozone said that the regulator had gone bad, so i replaced my old alt for a new one.which actually made no difference. i checked the fuses under my dash and noticed that the fuse that went to my alternator keeps goin bad if i try to drive,also my car stalls really bad. it will accellerate but only in pulses. ive checked and cleaned the ground wires connected to my engine and transmission, my engine codes read as follows: 20, 41, 65. i have read that i may have a faulty elc and may need to replace my underhood fuse box. i also read to check a wiring harness connector underneath the intake manifold, but im not sure which connector it is or what it looks like. any help would be tremendously appreciated as this has been one big headache ever since

 

check the ground on the thermalstat housing asap.

 

thanks. ok, i just checked it with a simple tester. the tester shows that it has continuity. so i dont think its that. anything else u think it might be?

mine was doing that until i replaced the cable

get some 0g wire and fix that up
