Blown VSS/Alternator Fuse
I blew 2 fuses in 2 days just started doing this yesterday.. Im just wondering what could be doing this all of a sudden. I looked quickly at the wires and they all look good and still covered to my eye at a quick glance. I just need to know if anyone has experienced this and has a idea what could be blowing the fuse. Could the Alternator or VSS be going bad? I live in Florida and its 200 degrees outside and im trying to limit myself digging through stuff to find it if at all possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also when i put the new fuse in this morning it worked just fine then i went a few places and now blew again. So it could be doing something just on start up?

Re: Blown VSS/Alternator Fuse
I just had the same problem with my 1998 honda civic and found the solution here. The blue wiring harness below the intake manifold. The wiing leading to the harness were rubbing with a black metal bracket that holds up the manifold causing a short. i just tape it up with electric tape and replaced the fuse....good to go $4 fix....i have pics of the area if u need them

Re: Blown VSS/Alternator Fuse
actually i found it.. as soon as i jacked up the car to look under the manifold i noticed that the O2 sensor wire that i had to extend for the GSR motor the zip tie that was holding it to broke and the wire fell and was touching the exhaust manifold and that was the culprit.. Thanks for the suggestions tho I do appreciate it..
