wiring problem obd1 to obd2
i have a 1995 vx 1.5 and i had a little accident where i blew the engine up, oil sprayed on to the exhaust manifold and cought fire
now im finally getting things sorted and have bought a new engine but the problem is that all the 92-95 engines are pretty high mileage now so i went for and engine from a 98 so i now have an obd2 engine loom trying to connect to an obd1 internal loom
everything all plugs together fine all except one plug, on the engine loom it has 6 wires (black, white, red, brown, blue and yellow)and on the internal loom its only 4 (red, brown, blue and yellow). is it just a matter of joining the red, brown, blue and yellow wires together and leaving the other 2 out ?

96+ civic are obd2. they have a ONE piece harness that goes through the firewall. this harness will NOT bolt into your car. use your stock harness that was in your car.
which ecu are you running?
what model (ex, si, dx?) is your civic?

in that case im even more confused as i know the engine came out of a 98 but the wiring loom is the same set up as my eg where the plugs for the engine loom are either side of the engine bay next to the suspension tops
