SO........i got some mechanic to lookat it and he says to just buy a new motor cause i most likely have a blown piston ring too. does that sound right to u or is it just me

I don't know how he came to the conclusion your rings are gone.????
You can get the head resurfaced and rebuild with the motor in the car. Just do the piston rings and rod bearings and clean the ridge at the top if there (maybe worth it for learning experience), but you can probably find a used motor for a similar price.

do it urself...
i got mines done with 170 bucks in total.. honda geninue head gasket (70).. (50 if u want profel from ebay)
new IM and EX gasket 10 each
new oil and things to scrape old gaskets off
12 hours of work... (a day to two days if u don't have air tools)
170 > 700
edit: resurface head costed me $40 and u need a service manual which u can get for free online
pretty much need basic tools only for the job (torque wrench is 15 at harbor freight)... remember to keep things organized..
new head bolts if u plan to upgrade ur engine any.. original one will do if it's just a commuter
