I'm not convinced my Throw out bearing is bad... (searched)
I just have a new clutch/flywheel installed, as well as a new pilot bearing and throw out bearing. when I got my car back from the shop the mechanic said the new throw out bearing was noises and would be annoying but nothing really to worry about.
Here are my symptoms...
Clutch pedal pushed to the floor = oscillating metal on metal scrape/squeal
Clutch pedal released (foot not on the pedal) = no sound and everything seems fine.
Now from what I've been searching through here on the forums, the above would lead me to believe it's my throw out bearing. But here is the part that makes me think it's something else.
The sound only happens if the clutch pedal is pressed firmly all the way it can possibly go to the floor (my carpets have an impression from this as well), if you let the clutch pedal spring back even slightly (half an inch) the noise goes away (even though the clutch pedal is still pressed in, just not fully). This would lead me to believe that the clutch pedal is actually traveling too far and causing something to scrape something wouldn't it? if it was just a bad bearing it would make noises regardless of how far the clutch pedal is pushed as long as it was pushed correct?
thanks for the help guys.

Could be the clutch disc/pressure plate chattering..
I've had several problems with non oem throwout bearings, being noisy and even going bad.. (using ebay clutch kits)
What kind of TOB is it?

jimmy. you are the man. how the hell did you know he was using a cheap ebay kit? lol
to nataku, net time you buy ANYTHING for your car, do a quick search and get some feedback. make sure your not getting some unproven part. your car/walet will thank you.

Yep..
I used a XTD clutch kit on my fully built 12:5:1 cr gsr hatch, broke the pressure plate in a month..
Tried an F1 chattered real bad and.. throwout bearing went out..
Live and learn.. From now on.. I will only purchase ACT or exedy clutch kits..
I've never had a problem out of my act hdss or xtss clutch kit, not the throwout bearing or pilot bearings..

What about https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1154116
Or "i been rocking the gripforce stage 1 clutch for 9 months now with no complants ..man that clutch catches good as hell!!"
Or even "yeah i had a exedy oem clutch brand new and it slipped like a bitch, but i got a gripforce stage 1 and it was perfect never had a problem with slippage again!"
One more for good measure "its fine, check on team-integra, bunch of people are running it and recommend it "
I don't mean to be rude, but that first link you sent me is useless because he didn't explain what happened to his clutch.
I also have two friends that both use F1 clutches and have had nothing but good things to say about them.
Now, does anyone have any idea what could be happening with my clutch? Cause my problem sounds more like it's a problem with the install and not the quality of the clutch.
Although now that i've said this it will probably explode

Seems to me it is the throwout bearing
Check the shift fork on the tranny casing.. right beside the clutch slave cylinder.. See if you hear anything unusual..
Did you take it to a reputable shop?
Hopefully they installed the TOB correctly.

Yes I did, and It's going to go right back there and have them look at it again.
If it was the TOB wouldn't it make noise no matter how far in the clutch pedal is pushed?

i had that same problem... ended up tearing the tranny apart and seen my input shaft bearing was killed..... you figure the input shaft only spins when the clutch is out..
