Clutch Problem on 2000 EX
I have a 2000 Honda Accord with 220,000 miles, when I bought it in 2006 it had 207,000. I am pretty sure that they were highway miles. Up until a week ago it seemed to be a phantom problem, that started about 8 months ago. I was driving on the highway and stopped at the bottom of a ramp, but the car would not go into gear. By that I mean the lockout was blocking me from moving the stick into place, if I pushed on the stick hard the rpm's would start falling. Eventually I was able to put it into gear and drive home in that gear. When I got ready to leave, the car worked fine. Then a few days later the same thing happened again, so I checked over lines and found the slave cylinder was wet, so I replaced it. Every thing seemed to be working pretty well, but every month and a half it would flare up again. Once again, if I let the car sit for a little while it would be fine when I would try it. Until now, that was the case, but now it is not correcting itself, so we replaced the master cylinder, but that didn't fix it. I am still getting resistance from the lockout when I try to shift, and the clutch still isn't disengaging all the way. The rpm's still drop when I put it in gear but have the clutch pushed in. What am I doing wrong?
