Lost Keys, Need To know how to get it out of park to tow to dealership
i lost my only key for my 99 accord... i went to the dealer and i guess theres a chip in the key and it needs to be programed so i made an appointment for this friday and ill be towing it with a trailer there... i just need to know ho wto get it out of park to push it on the trailer thanks for the help
i think its called shift interlock or whatever i cant seem to find it a picture would help

if all you needed was a key cut that usually works just fine but since he has the immobilizer chip they need to reprogram it.

I searched and I can't seem to find any pictures but I could have sworn it is located in the center console right to the side of the shifter itself. Should just be a little slot or something iirc.
On the 6th gen, on the left side of the shifter, about where "P" is, there is a cover about 1/2 inch long, with a slot on the side of it; remove the cover and stick something in there.

from waht i remmeber in my old 99 v6, u had to pry off the trim ring around the base of the shifter to get to the interlock release.
dont forget u will still need a key to atleast relase the steering wheel lock so u can manuver to car onto the trailer. unles of course u have enogh room to line the trailer right behind or infront of the car.
