Best? That's speculative.

I'll be the first to call bullshit on my own notes reviewing those intakes.

The AEM has proven results, and if i am not mistaken is the best bang for the buck

Yes but I thought the mugen and comptech offered a better power band?

And I thought I heard bad reviews about the J's racing intake??

Having owned the J's, I can agree. Fitment (strut tower bangage) and power (when mid summer in FL) It looks good though...

I do believe the Mugen has a broader power band as well compared to the AEM CAI.

I think it's now

1. Mugen
2. AEM CAI with a velocity stack

Fitment definitely blows on the J's, but I still like it. More of a bling factor than performance.

I thought someone did some dyno testing and the AEM CAI with a v-stack didn't produce any gains.

I think the samco intake tube and the bpi stack produce good results. But I don't anything about the heat it could soak up during the summer or how to prevent it.

Stock box modified with a 4" pipe & K&N is the best bang for the buck.

If I didn't have this I'd have a mugen.

The J's and Comptech are strictly bling pieces.
I'd get the AEM 1st. Proven power. The Mugen is pretty good too, but very pricey.

i've had . stock, aem cai, j's-wale D, and short ram with velocity stack.

so far i'm happy with my short ram + velocity stack.
it gives you nice mid range and still screams at vtec.

j's : gives you good throttle response. and nice deep sound around 3k rpm. but vtec x over is smooth and doesn't scream @ vtec.

aem cai: no lower end power. have to wait till vtec kicks in. bad throttle response. but vtec screams pretty hard

so. pick want you want out of these..

I don't know how your summers are, but do you have problems with heat soak with the short ram and stack?

I don't see how the Chumptech can be bling just because its ugly. Might as well keep the stock intake, as I think that looks better.
