Tried to use the search to find this but unfortunately the SEARCH hasn't been working for the last 24 hours so I'm posting a new thread about it.

I have a 1999 Honda Civic hatchback DX and I want to replace the steering wheel with a Civic Type R steering wheel with SRS so I don't loose the SRS and gain a SRS DTC. I am wondering if I can remove my stock steering wheel which does not have cruise as its a dx and replace it with the civic type r without having to change anything. Will the plug for the horn/srs plug into the cable reel and will the splines match up? Has anyone done this (I know someone on here has had to but I can't search to find them)? Thanks in advance.
