o2 sensor used defouler but light is still on
i bore out the defouler to 1/2 inch so the o2 sensor would fit in it and i put it in the port after the cat converter but now the check engine light came on faster than before and it says there is high voltage in the o2 sensor. does this mean that i just have it too far out of the airflow now or something else that i dont know about? any help thanks!
i would do a search on the site about it but i keep getting told that the search option is temporarily down and i need to do the work tonight to pass inspection tomorrow. thanks
i am using two sensors but i dont have any codes coming across for the first sensor. should i have done the same thing to the first sensor with the defouler or no?
you are using two foulers and not just one right? (one to hold the O2, the other to pull it out of the stream)
WAIT... after the cat converter? if you have a cat there is no need for the fouler trick...
there is a good chance that your O2 is bad.

i am only using one defouler, and yes it is after the converter, its a magnaflow high flow cat converter. i had to extend the wires on the o2 sensor in order to reach the port, i dont know if this screws up the readings or not.
