Honda B18 Oversize Bore Service Limit, 81.25 or toss the block??
going through the overhaul procedure for my B18C, I found this statement in the Honda Manual:
". lf measurements in any cylinder are beyond
Oversize Bore Service Limit, replace the block."
Oversize Bore Service Limit:
81.25mm
SO, HONDA recommends a max over bore of just 0.25mm, or your block is no good!!! I've looked in a 95 manual and a 00 manual, both had the same spec. also, there are only honda replacement parts for standard and 0.25mm over.
I know people have been over-boring higher than this, so what's going on? can anyone comment on this spec?

i dont know if that is completely true but i know if your gonna try to use stock pistons they would want you to get a new block if anything just bore it .50 makinking it 81.5 and get some aftermarket pistons and rings which would be better
Well I bought a GSR block that was bored out to 82mm, then I had it honed, and have been running it for 2 years now. (knock on wood)
82mm is the most you should go on stock sleeves for a B-series.
