4.77's, engine management for tuning, and a good IHE setup (I personally would go with J's Racing intake, header, and single 70mm exhaust) will set him straight in the NA department.

If you really want to go all out, ITB's and a 2.4-2.5L stroker kit as well. But that's already upwards of 5k for just those two items.

No go. Stroker kit, yes; but ITB's, no. It has been proven that ITB's to little to nothing on this car. Not to mention they are hard to tune, so you'll be spending days on the dyno trying to get the car tuned to run the ITB's properly.

just get a good tune... personally i will never use nitrous... just not my thing... if he wants to get the best bang for buck... sell his F20 and put it towards buying the J's racing one:

+1.

One of my buddies just put a 4.9 in his ITR this past weekend and said the gears are the best thing he ever did to his car.

I would say 4.44 and there is no real added performance in hp numbers just better use of the torque and power we have.

I agree .. ITB are a pain and have to constantly be retuned, would be a no go for me. For an na build go with quality IHE and if he is willing to spend the money a stroker kit, but be aware it has been known for the 2.5l to give lots of problems. The best thing would be to search for people who have stroked their motor and find out what problems they have had, if any, and anything they would have done differently .. then go on from there
