Hi guys, I just got my civic 94 hatchback and I wanna do some for it, first I'd like to change the brake first, I know 2 fronts brake I can change it to disc but I dunno about the 2 rear drum, so you guys think I can change it to disc too? And 1 more newbie question is If I want to paint my brake pad? DO i need to order anything ? or it has on my brake already, just paint it? and is it hard to change it to disc thanks......

well you dont really need a proportion valve\master cylinder\ or brake booster but it is recommended... you can just buy the rear disc brakes from jprmotorinc.com and they have it for $150 if u live in socal..

Since you have a 92-95 civic you need.
You need:
-Rear trailing arm w/disc from a 94-01 tegi or 92-95 Civic with disc
-TRY HARD to get a set with the e-brake cables attached yet.
-brake lines for disc brakes
You could get but don't totally need:
-15/16 master cylinder (IF you have an EX you have a 7/8 which will be fine)
-40/40 Proportioning Valve

Or, if you want to keep your old trailing arm setup, Scarebird sells a bracket that allows you to mount disc calipers onto drum knuckles. In that case, all you need are pads, discs, and calipers.
If you go that route, EP3 or 5th gen Prelude calipers (same part number, actually) and EP3 discs are the best rear disc setup you can bolt onto a 92-00 Civic without extra mods. If you use the Prelude calipers, they're mounted on the Prelude upside down and swapped left/right to what they are on a Civic, but I assure you they're the exact same part.

you can also get rear disks from a 93 si hatch. you can prob find the whole set up at a junk yard, and dont paint your pads! if you dont have enough money to buy nice painted brakes than dont do it.. it just looks tacky and will attract dust which will make your brakes loud... not tryin to hate, just tryin to keep hondas classy!
