ok I have a bone stock 92 LS 5 spd, motor has around 170k on it, I was going maybe 60 miles an hour in 5th and suddenly my rpms and speedo dropped to zero, no noise no nothin, now it still catches but it wont turn over, guessing maybe alternator? dizzy...or worst case scenario..I had an oil change done at walmart (cheapass I know) soo Im hoping they put the plug back in tight enough..but no oil light came on and I saw no oil..opinions plz?

 

did u run out of gas??

could be distributor, id replace the sparkplugs and wires just incase

y dont u check ur dipstick to see if theres no oil...did anything overheat or make a sound??

 

lack of fuel? filter or injecters

 

The same thing happened to me. It was the distributor.
