I'm looking into purchasing the 4.928 FD from Mfactory but saw there are different fitments for the cable trannys. How do I tell what year my transmission is from? Any markings or serial numbers?

Found it 10th digit code on VIN represents the year

If the transmission still has the VIN plate on it you can tell by the VIN. The 10th character would be coded for the year.
