Default green plate vin

on my tranny the green tag vin number has dc4 on it? shouldnt it be the same as what my car is unless it is a diff tranny?

Sounds like you have a B18B1 transmission.

what should it say if it is a b16a2 transmission? ys1 or em1 or anything like that?

The green tag you're looking at is the VIN. And so if it were your stock transmission it would say your car's VIN on it. If it were from an Si it would say EM1 instead of DC4.
