its when you shift without stepping on the clutch pedal at high rpm's. sometimes there is a "point" where it will rev match perfectly so you can do this

and its very bad, you can mess up your tranny fast if not done perfectly

in all honesty, just shift when your powerband ends. do you track or do you just want to go faster on public roads?

wrong. you DO engage the clutch while powershifting.

yes it can break a tranny down fast if not done properly. when i was 16 i destroyed my first tranny while trying to learn this method. once you get it though it works everytime.

ive shifted without the clutch on all of my past civics 5th 6th 7th gen... let me tell you its not easy to figure when to do it and how to hit the gas to do it correctly.. the 8thgen is odd tho... i *know* ive powershifted this thing atleast 3times since i bought it in 06 by mistake... literally f*cking around and the stick just sliding into gear smooth as ever without the clutch.... but ya... i wouldnt do it on purpose my 93 civic lost a gear from it... so ya..
