HELP...am I paying too much for clutch fix?!
I'm getting my original Honda OEM Clutch replaced and the flywheel resurfaced. I can imagine that this is a lot of labor, but how much should it be? The mechanic and I trust this guy's knowledge and expertise...says that it'll be about $250 to take out the tranny and put in the new clutch and another $25 to resurface the flywheel. Does $275 for such an operation sound legit?
I'm in the Los Angeles San Gabriel area, so if you any of you guy can recommend a good mechanic who's cheaper, PLEASE let me know. Thanks!

wow, where is this at? Thats an awesome price if thats parts+labor. It's a pretty good price for just labor as well. How familar or good is he with honda accord tranny's? I need some serious tranny work done soon... possibly a rebuild or replacement for 5th gear
$275 is LABOR ONLY. I've already spent $250 for the EXEDY Clutch. This guy's shop is in El Monte, CA and I definitely recommend him as a mechanic. He definitely knows his stuff. He can do engine/tranny swaps, and basically anything that has to do with cars. So do you guys think $275 is a good price to pay for just LABOR with a clutch replacement + flywheel resurface?
