i looked and it didnt find any thing i want to do the mini me swap and use the d16y8 head can i put the head on and drive without wireing the vtec cause i have the head and the fuel pressure reg. but i want to save up a little more so i can do a obo 0 to obo1 conversion ?
Wait until you get the right ECU. If you're light on the throttle, you should be fine for a little while.
Powering the solenoid remotely is not a good method because there is nothing to change the fuel/timing maps.

ok then wat else do i need i have the head and the y8 gasket also get ing the y8 timeing belt wat ecu do i need, do i need a vtec controller obo1 conversion?
also im puting it on a d15b1
also im puting it on a d15b1
you have some options when it comes to making vtec work....
you can do it the right way by converting to obd1 and running a p28
or you canuse an rpm switch.
since you have a D15B1 im assuming you're car is DPFI?
