I think he meant which type. meaning B16 or GSR. Usually of course if its a B16 trans you use a B16 Diff, and GSR trans use GSR diff.

But with the Liberty gear set, is it the same rule or does a certain one fit better than the other, not having to shim, etc. I dont know much about the Liberty, wondering as well.

tell me about it -- i cancelled my order with them after waiting a little over 4 months -- going another route -- even though did speak with Eggum and she could potentially get one for my quicker i have a really bad taste in my mouth from Liberty, they way they treat their sport compact customers is completely unacceptable in my book and in my opinion they don't deserve our business.

True. But when a wait is 6-8 months c'mon. I mights as well put in my order asap for next years season.

I understand good things come to those who wait, but damn how long do we have to wait if we have to pay for it first?

Anybody got a liberty gearset they want to sell? Or can someone get 1 pretty fast please let me know!

have you used anything else other than liberty? i will take a guess, correct me if i am wrong please because i am literally taking a guess but probably not -- so just because one thing works for one person doesn't mean it is the only way to go

and to say the liberty is the only stuff proven to work isn't quite right the way i see it -- Felix has been .30s on a Gforce and won an event this season already and CFT won the championship last year with a Magnus

all these gearsets are going to have their fair share of problems -- for instance i know of 2 people that sent liberty sets back to liberty to check out and they were both considered trash by liberty and forced to buy a new gearset -- i really don't care the reason they are considered trash so please lets not get into a "how things are used pissing match", that is not the point my point is that even the all mighty liberty is having issues just like the GForce and just like the Magnus

i know the magic words in this issue about leadtime and that seems to be Eggum, i spoke with her, she was great on the phone, very cordial and helpful but i have a big problem dealing with a company selling a $4k+ gearset that has the worst customer service i have come across and i have seen a lot of things in my day in this industry

...mfactory -- lol -- i wouldn't touch that with your 10 foot pole

Innes,

I actually talked to Craig (owner of Liberty) for about 20 minutes the other day. He claimed that they have 15 gear sets in stock ready to go as of 2 days ago.

If you want a set right now, call CRAIG up yourself and get your set ordered man.

From my conversation on the phone with him, they seem to be genuinely interested in fixing their ordering system and getting orders out. He said that he will be glad to get gear sets out to those whom have waited. Seriously, give him a call, get your gear set and go racing. If you do call him, he is a very hard person to get a hold of though....

I'm interested to see what happens. Please post back if you do decide to call him.

As stated Craig is very hard to get ahold of and the more people that call him, CJ and Paul, the less work that is getting done.

I talk with Jennifer almost daily and I've sold and shipped multiple gear sets over the last few weeks since the other thread. It's kept the phone calls to a minimum and orders are being delivered promptly.

If you have any questions or would like to place an order, you can email me at EggumRacing@yahoo.com.

Through me or Liberty, price is the same.
Gear sets - $3950
Bell Housing - $1750
Handcuff - $199
Spool - $399
Assembly - $195

Eggum,

I wondered why Craig wanted to take on the extra responsibilities, but he told me clearly that if I knew or heard of someone with problems getting a gear set... He wanted to be contacted and the situation resolved.

That was all. We both know Craig is busy and hard to get a hold of, but Innes seemed to fit into this criteria of needing a gearset after waiting and Craig himself wanted to handle these situations so that's why I suggested it to him.

I personally want to see if liberty comes through.

To eaches own,i think we have proven enough that the G Force stuff works. The problem with the 2nd gear was a shimming issue that we never resolved cause we were to lazy to send it back, but the new box is in the car so now we can send the old one to be reshimmed..and will probably get it in a week not 4 months.
