Can someone help me fix the cable thats open my trunk from in the car? the place were i got the car wants 250$ to fix it help!!!!!!!!

 

I had to replace mine a couple months ago. Its not that hard.


Trunk Lid Opener Cable/Fuel Fill Door Opener Cable Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:


Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.
Remove these items from the left side of the vehicle:
Side trim panel
Door sill trim
Trunk side trim panel
Pull the carpet back as necessary.





Disconnect the trunk lid opener/fuel fill door opener cable (A) from the opener (B).
Release the opener cable from the clip (C). Remove the cushion tape (D), and detach the clip (E) with a clip remover.
Remove the fuel fill door latch (F) by turning it 90 ° , and detach the opener cable junction box (G) from the body.



Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable (A) from the trunk lid latch (B).
Using a clip remover, detach the clip (C) from the trunk lid, and detach the clips (D) from the trunk lid hinge.
Remove the trunk lid opener/fuel fill door opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to kink the cable.
Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Align the alignment mark of the cable to the clip on the bottom portion of the trunk lid hinge.
Replace any damaged clips.

 

Is it physically snapped, or will it just not open?

hey thank you very much !!! the dealer said the the cable is coverd with the *** and in the *** the wire makes a V shape one side is for the fuel door and the other is for the trunk! my fuel door work no problem it just the trunk... need i need to know where to is the parts for cheep? if you know any that would be awesome......thank again....
