Hi everybody I am having probrlems with my 1992 civic cx we were trying to hook up the deck with no adapter so we just straight up merged the wires together but nothing happened

Civic Deck
yellow/red = red
white/blue = yellow
black = black
red/black = ?

the rest are speaker wires but I just want to see the thing light up so we just did the it like that but nothing worked and I know the red and black go to the illumination but there isn't another wire on the deck for illumination so maybe you need to splice to wires or something? the deck is pioneer by the way

Please any help would be good I am tired of listening to my cell phone in my car....

hmm on the diagram on that site didn't display a red and black wire and I hooked up everything else properly what else might be the problem? could there be no power to the wires or something?

 

bump... I found out I had blwon a fuse and I replaced it but it still dosen't work anybody know ?

You cut the harness and just soldered it right on? Wow.. thats going to be pretty frustrating to diagnose. All radio harnesses that I've made for Civics have been color matched to the deck harness.. try that if the Install Dr wiring isn't working
