Default Sohc Turbo,good&kinda bad

I ran 12.8 @ 106, mods are listed in signature. Car is a 93' Civic SI

60': 1.883
1/8: 8.268 @ 84.49
1/4: 12.856 @ 106

I ran 13.1 with a 2.0 60 ft and knew for sure I can go 12's!!!

BAD: blew the head gasket then Rods, rings, pistons, you name it!!
GOOD: 12's on stock Sohc, full interior(2450++ with me), Dohc Vtec very soon!!!

Damn if you're only looking for 11's you can get that with an SOHC, even in a heavier car. Maybe not with an 18G though..

Xbird, ummm... nooo..
I'm looking at the behalf of my rod right now, and the track inspectors found pieces of the block on track. They also found the piston ring that I lost, maybe that's why it blew!

I'll try to load some pics(any good host) and yes it's stock bottom end.

My theory, is that I ran to much retard on the BTM causing the car to misfire. Once it misfire, the fuel isn't getting burn, of course causing detonation.

I don't mind running SOHC and see if I can run even faster, but since I already have a LS/VTEC setup /w JG victor X manifold, might as will put it in.

Im sure I can go 11's with 18g on the Dohc. I might run 12-15 psi on the DOHC and fine tune it. Cause when I ran the SOHC I never had the chance to dyno it and make it run right. It's only a tempaory setup, the manifold it's not even made for engine. Meaning I'm not getting 100% exhaust flow. So 12's is not bad
