k20 integra pass smog

Default k20 integra pass smog

right now i have a gsr motor in my car and i was planning to swap a k20 into my car i just want a motor that makes about 220 whp so i was planning to do a k swap because i heard the can make that kind of power with just bolt ons. well can a integra with a k swap pass smog. if not how would you do it

There are two ways you can. One of them involves getting the engine ref/BAR'd. Very timing consuming process if you don't know what is involved to make it legal. The second is smog it at a shop that can careless about the visual inspections and engine type. As in the smog tech just press the "P" on visual inspections without looking. I know there are plenty out there.

i hear you have to use the rsx fuel system/tank to bar it.

yes you would have the use the whole rsx fuel system in order to get it bar'd because of the emissions systems. it has been done before, but you would have to know what your doing and alot of fab work.
