Default how can a k20a2 pass smog?

my friends looking into dropping a k20a2 into his dc2 integ, but he's curious if it's going to be able to pass CA smog emissions testing? Does anyone know anybody that got their swap to pass the CA B.A.R.? can someone help me out and let me know how they did it? i'm open to all ideas and opinions. thx.

not unless you put all the smog equipment that came on the rsx into the civic. wiring nightmare more hellish than your worst fears imaginable.

also, if you find a company that makes aftermarket headers for k20 swapped eg's with a california bar EO# then you're closer than any man will ever get to bar a k20 eg.

i paid 225 for my smog, no car required just my pink slip (lsvtec in my dc2 Special edition.) Your allowed to swap engines as long as they are a year or more older than the year of your car...and you have to take it to a reff

Haha my homie's shop neighbor is a smog shop. You gotta keep your eyes out for Arabs smog shop owners. They do anything for a quick bill or two.

california law states that as long as the motor is newer then the vehicle model year it is legal to swap, as long as all smog and emissions devices are hooked up.

what about the after market fuel rail you have to use, everything under the hood has to be CARB legal.

for all smog equipment....but ouch

and referees it first to go to smog check.......NO REFEREE = NO SMOG. unless those smog places are dumb enough that couldn't able to differential bseries and kseries?

I can't help you, but I would like to say MOTHERFUCK CALI smog laws.

half my state doesn't even require emissions at all.

I just passed my integra in my county, with a pr3 ecu running on one o2 sensor, and a new cat. The next day I took that restriction right back out. I'm good for 2 years. I can't even imagine trying to deal with cali bullshit.

fucken retarded. I don't get it. If you can run the thing on the 240 and pass, wtf does it matter what equipment you have on it? Any car will fail emissions at WOT, so what's the difference what swap you got?

They should like give you a break if you run in the 11's. LOL
