Don't quote me on this, but you won't benefit much unless you're running on bigger injectors, better fuel pump, and of course a tune.

Not that he won't benefit, but that's what he *needs* to run on ethanol from what little I've read about it. I think it's cheaper and gets better MPG though or something like that, but of course it's harder to find a place to fill up with it. That's as far as I know. I'm interested in it too though... I'm pretty sure it also has higher octane so you can tune your timing more aggressively.

You would want to run E85 for the increased octane rating to make more power. The FI guys have done this. E85 will produce lower fuel economy (MPG) than gasoline. The main problem with running E85 in an Integra is that you would always have to run the fuel. flex fuel vehicles have sensors that can determine the fuel mixture in the tank and the ECU compensates. Your car does not have this flex capability.

I thought they cost about the same per gallon.

E85 fuel economy is about 30% less than gasoline fuel economy. (Pulling 30% from memory.)

Oops my bad, I knew it either had better or worse fuel economy but like I said I haven't looked into it much and just read about it a littel bit, a long time ago. The point is for higher octane for performance, and as an alternative to gas for car companies to start using.

e85 = consider it to be a high octane. 100ish octane.

only downside would be crappier MPG compared to 87 octane.
