New to honda's need some help!
As you can see by the title i am new to honda's i currently have a 97 ek d16y7, and it is not very fast. I have heard alot of good things about ls swaps and b16's...I was wondering how hard a engine swap like this would be to do? And what would be a good average miles for a b16 or ls?
Thanks any tips or answers will help.

best bet is to read the hybrid forum...there are several walk-throughs to show you what is involved. go to the front page of honda-tech and look at the subforum titles below this subforum. you will see hybrid....
mileage is all relative...it depends on how it was treated, how old is it, how honest is the source, how many people have had it before you, etc, etc.
i, personally, would only get a swap from HMO (hmotorsonline). the owner is completely honest and has proven this for years via the thousands of clean swaps he's sold.
a b16 will not help you go fast, especially in a later gen car, so unless you plan on putting a turbo on it, look at the bigger displacement engines, OR....turbo your d-series (www.d-series.org)
keep in mind to do a swap properly, it costs alot, no matter what anyone says. there are plenty of OE service items that should be replaced before the swap (timing belt, waterpump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil, etc), you typically need a clutch, installation items (mounts, axles, header, ecu, etc)...the list goes on and on. you can always cut corners, but IMO if you are in it for the long haul, do it right and spend the cash. or, again, you could boost that D ; )
