Default Turbo trouble.

Hello, well some of you know that i've been working on my custom turbo kit, and im almost done, but keep running into little problems.

This past Saturday, I went in for tuning, and couldn't not tune higher than 250whp, due to rpm issues. I am running Greddy Emanage Ultimate. At a certain RPM the rpm's would go haywire and jump around from 7368 to 3846, and etc. I was told that it could be the rpm wire wired to the emanage. I took a look last night and cut the rpm wire, and did some tests.

When I drove with the rpm wire cut, the logger showed the data like this...

After I reattached the wires then did another run and it ended up like this...

Its even crazier than before! Have any ideas?
My tuner said that he cannot tune my the car correctly, because of the rpms, they knock off the ignition and etc. And the rpms are supposed to be constant.
 help!

Check your wiring of the RPM signal from the ECU, and be sure that all of the hardware that involves your ignition is correct, and that static timing is not off. Could be some calbration issues.

(I'm just waiting for someone to just say "get rid of your E-manage Ulimate", but I'm quite sure that's not the problem. Any minute now....

Yea I would like to get an AEM, but can't afford it. -__- I've checked the rpm wire and tried rewiring it, but same issue comes up.

why get an aem? just get hondata or neptune or ectune or crome... any of those are better than your piggyback emanage.

yea, definitely looks like a signal issue,
like mac said, double check the wiring... also, check how they are routed.. another ire may be causing interference
and check to see that the wire itself isnt damaged.... i've chased my tail for hours to find out that the problem was caused by the wire shorting out against the unibody

Get rid of your emanage... and "upgrade" to an adjustable FMU, missing link, and BTM.
