Default AFC not working. searched!

my vafc is not changing the amount of fuel my car is getting, its not reading any rpms at all. I know i have the right wire for the rpm signal because i ran a wire from the tach to the green wire to make sure i had the right signal. Anyone had this problem before? is there any reason why the afc is not getting a rpm signal?

Why are there 2 grounds on the afc do you think one of them has a bad connection?

Make sure you are using the ECU ground wire to ground the AFC, instead of just running a screw into the firewall. Go back over you connections and solder and heat shrink them, it sounds like your wiring in general is causing you problems.

make sure you have the brown tapped closest to the ecu, then the black about an inch behind that.

also, you should tap the green rpm signal wire into the wire from the ecu, not to your tach.

the grounds are right its just like 2"'s apart. but i dont think that makes a big deal. and with the rpm, its getting the same signal at the tach so why not just run it off that if i cant find the tach wire on the computer

because maybe its a stronger or different signal, you never know. this is what we call troubleshooting.
