coilovers or springs and shocks?
guys i have read so much and tried to figure out what to go with but i have no idea. my car will be a weekend warrior that will see the street on a good day in the summers, other than that it will be parked or at the track. i have looked at skunk2 coilovers, tein coilovers, and a ground control spring with koni yellow shock plus many more. but i am still lost, can someone please help me? i am also running a carbing front strut bar, low tie bar, function 7 rear lower control arms, half cage, asr subframe brace, and skunk2 front/rear camber kit. thanks
i mean my car right now is gettin a **** ton of my time, money, and work into it. i really dont want to drive it everyday anyways lol. the only times i will really take it out is to a few local car meets they have around here in the spring and summer. So omni are good, i have heard some about them but how do they handle at the track?

Sorry to thread jack, but for the omni drag coilovers w/ 18k rear what about the fronts. 10k or 12k??? About to pick some of these up and wondering about the two rates.

10 or 12k can be had.
as for the original poster, you may as well go with a coilover set-up. the drag shocks from omni would be ideal, but with the real high rear spring rate, keep the street sillyness around corners to a minimum or you will find yourself looking at the direction you came from in a hurry.

stiffer rear that i understand but the front must be softer to grab traction better correct? thanks for the link to by the way really appreciate it.
im about to buy front shocks for my SFWD car, im stuck between the 10k and 12k. sure you want stiff to help plant power down but is 12k a bit too stiff?

you dont want it soft or it will dive on shifts and shock the tires when it comes back up.
10k=560
12k=672
neither are on the 'extremely stiff' side. if your car is on the heavy side (full trim street car) i'd go with the 12k
