I'm just wondering how can i go upon fixing this?? my wires just seem loose or something. if i open my hatch up or down it'll turn on sometimes at certain angles so I'm assuming it is loose somewhere. when i close it all the way to lock it the light is completely off. at night time you cant see any lights coming from my license plate and i dont wanna get pulled over for something so lil. any body else had this problem before?

 

sounds like maybe a bad harness..try checking that

 

Theres little rubber hoses that go from your inside to your hatch remove a side and pull it down you may have a split wire inside it.
