Well I picked up a 97 hatch for 1,000 and the rear trunk is unaligned. It was was hit from the back and fix but it looks like its unaligned? Is there any way to align it?

hey i just got a hatch as well and having the same problem
heres some picture of my right bottom trunk.
the left side is fine, its just messed up on the right.





i think the best thing is to remove it and bend it somehow?

mine is the same way, i just havent had the time/ wanted to fix it yet.....
i think the way it needs to be fix is by loosening the nuts that hold the hatch hinges to the body of the car. if you pop off that rear upper trim panel that holds the headliner up you can get to those nuts......but of corse now you have the problem of the body sealer that is all around the hinge. so best bet is to just take the hatch all the way off then clean off all the body sealer then put it back on (align it properly) then put body sealer back around the hinges on the body of the car. I have tried loosening the bolts that you can get to (on the hinge to the hatch) but they are not longgated to were you can align it..
