my power wires go through a "master" switch then to a fused distribution panel then out to the accessory it serves. i cannot push the button to start the car unless the main switch is turned on.
i have no diagram.

Im wiring my car right now headlight to tail light got rid of that junk stock harness with endless back tracks and running a painless harness. So ill just make a master switch to hook up the Fuse Box up to it that way i can shut everything off. Thanks for the info guys

You should be able to push the starter button either way. So if your troubleshooting or just need to bump the engine over you can still do it without starting the car.

i can still "bump" the motor. everything goes through my master and then distributed to the accessories. my pump is on another switch. turn on master and it gives power to the "hot" side of all my other switches including the starter switch. but until i push that button or flip that switch like in on my fuel pump they wont work.
