Default Could Honda have made the the vacuum lines any more confusing for the CVCC?

Just saw this online and found it a bit interesting:
Could Honda have any further over engineered it?
Although its made like that (the vacuum schematics) for the Double fuel-delivery system
(one for the extra-rich initial combustion chamber
and another for the lean main combustion chamber)

At least its not bad as an FD (Mazda RX7)

Runner ups:

Ford's variable venturi and CFI

Chevy's electronic feedback Quadrajet

Chrysler's lean burn

and any carburetted 80's japanese import with wires

VV carbs are EVIL, I was just tinkering around with one in my freetime once and thank god I never had to work on those things when they where the norm in dealersihps. The late 70's and early 80's where a dark time for mechanics indeed.

I think it does use only three... one for FPR, one for EVAP and... i can't think of any more.

Early emissions controls + lack of reliable, sophisticated solid state controllers (ECUs) = lots of vacuum lines.

Keep in mind what the state of computing hardware was in those days. Hint: RAM numbers had a "K" after them . . .

Funny, the CVCC motor in 79-82 Accords was called the EK1. Also, all of the older Hondas have a vacuum motor for the cruise control. Maybe all the newer ones too.

And if you ask me that RX7 diagram looks a hell of a lot simpler than the CVCC one. I've removed the vacuum nests from both of my old Accords, and boy was it fun.

Uh yeah:
