Check your oil !, in fact do an oil change im sure its so low thats why your vtec wont work! Vtec works on oil pressure, and take out and clean your vtec solenoid/ screen with some carb. cleaner.

do you have a check engine light on? that will do it! Yes way low oil pressure will do it! although u should know its low because the oil light should be on if its that low.

the oil light only comes on if thepressure is REALLY low. 80 psi is alot of oil pressure, and thats what you need to crack a vtec.

also, your speedo must work, and you must not have any check engine lights on.

My vtec stopped working the same way when i had just got it all stock and diddnt pay much attention to the oil level and one day i punched it hard and then after it would just like redline at 5k but no check engine light so i put some oil back in like 2 qrts or so and bamm.. vtec was back and i followed up with a full oil change soon after its often overlooked and gsr's are known to drink oil up driving hard in VTEC stock or not

this thread makes me laugh,

You cant make a post like this and not expect tooons of different answers,

There are plenty of variables,

is your car wamed up to operating temp?

is your harness looses anywhere? if it is when your car is jerking around causes aloose connection

Your ign control module could be going out,

low on oil is most likely NOT the problem

You have no clue on what your talking about what would his car being up to operating temp. have to do with it and " is your harness looses anywhere? if it is when your car is jerking around causes aloose connection" why would a loose harness couse this? a loose TPS connection maybe and being low on oil will deffinetly couse your vtec not to opperate it works on oil pressure! ing. module going out now thats funny

So back to trying to help him fix his problem check your tps ,oil level and vtec solenoid and its plugs and try search the topic for more info

this is where i would usually post my vtak switch pic, but i won't. i think there is a thread somewhere on here about a guy that did a light test on his vtec solenoid. i'm sure if you search enough you'll find it.

just for the sake of the thread, vtec actually wont work until the car is up to normal operating temp.

the check engine light will come on if low on oil? really oh maybe thats why. i do have a slight leak on the car too. i think it might be the cam gear seals..

Gotta be careful using statements like "you have no clue on what your talking about"
