dripping oil
i have a 93 del sol with a d16z6 and recently it started dripping oil from the exhaust manifold and i was wonderingf what the causes for this can be anything you tell me will be helpful
Oil is most likely dripping from your oil pan onto the exhaust manifold. When you last changed your oil, did you replace the crush washer on the drain plug? That's the most common culprit when it comes to oil leaks. Either that or the oil filter was put on incorrectly; it should just be hand tightened. Using a filter wrench to tighten it down can damage the gaskets, and putting it on too loosely won't give it a good seal, either way, resulting in oil leaks.
First thing I would do is put some paper towels down under the car, run the motor for a couple minutes, then take a look where the oil spots are coming from. Take a look at the drain plug; if you see oil dripping from it, it's time for another oil change, and make sure you replace the crush washer.
