Default automatic civic jerks bad when putting into reverse

my civic, 90 hatchback dx - d15b2 with an automatic transmission jerks bad when I put it into reverse. My car is idling around 1400 RPMs which is very high but I still don't think it would cause it to jerk as bad as it does. I noticed my motor mounts are going bad. Today I replaced two of them, the front one and the back one. I still jerks just as hard. I was just curious if anyone had any input about this. I will be fixing my idle speed and replacing the other two mounts as soon as I can. I guess I am asking would that fix the problem or is it something else? What are some possible problems?

Well if you already changed your motor mounts, try lowering your idle

Yes, I'm going to be doing that. It still an insane jerk, it feels like something could break if I do it too many times. I don't see a high idle being that big of a factor but I will definitely look into that and report back when I fix that.

It does make a difference, it like revving and dropping into gear, or like dumping your clutch at a higher rpm

If you can get it to like 700 that would be much better
