first off i own an automatic 95' civic sedan. when im at parked and select my gear to drive, my car gives off a powerful kick from my transmission. or parked to reverse in that matter.

Sometimes when i decelerate it also gives off a powerful kick.

would replacing the tranny be the fix? i really hate the knocking it gives, feels like my engine is going to fall sometimes thats how hard the knock is. really noticeable.

Check your idle speed. Every kick I've seen from autos is because the motor is idling too high.

how do i check that? i dont know much about cars but if theres a how-to im pretty good at following that. lol.


i've replaced all motor mounts and it still had the problem..
