Default HKS BOV blow off valve not working no sound

Car still runs fine.

with an exception that the HKS BOV does not making any noise.

still hits 15 psi.

took it out and cleaned it. did not check the O ring yet. i don't have snap ring pliers.

What could it be??? just the O-ring maybe?

anybody have this problem?

If it's your O-ring than you wouldn't be making anywhere close to 15 psi. I would take if off and open it and inspect it. Or maybe your vacuum line is clog/bad.

Over time some blow off valves tend to sieze, take it and see if you can manually push the valve open. I'm not sure exactly which HKS it is you are talking about, but I have seen a couple of RFL's do the same thing, and even just stay open instead of staying shut. With lubricant the RFL I used to have on my typhoon worked great.

is it fluttering or anything? a while back mine started fluttering only and it turned out the insert in the front had broken off. just ordered a new insert for it and it was fine. i guess its the insert that gives it the distinctive high pitched sound.
