Default Help! Drag 3 GSR running crappy ET's.

Hey guys, WTF is wrong with my car? Here is my set up:

2000 GSR
Drag 3 turbo kit
stock b18c1
Walbro intank fuel pump 255lph
AEM fuel rail
AEM fpr
RC 310cc injectors
Vortech 12:1 FMU
OBD1 94-95 GSR ECU
Greddy EVO catback
ACT extreme pressure plate
ACT street strip disc
ITR flywheel

This is my current setup. I went to the track last night and ran a horrible 14.9 @ 97.8mph. Before I ran a 14.6 on my stock clutch which is still horrible. What is hindering performance? Why can't I pull good ETs? any advice or input is appreciated. thanks guys

No offense man but the driver is often more important than the car. Not saying your not a good driver but I've seen a viper race a Z06 vette and they both ran mid 14's!!!

I am not the worlds best driver. I agree. But damn, isn't my setup good enough for atleat low 14s or high 13s? Another factor is im loosing alot of traction down the track. Im running street tires.

dyno tune your car, learn to drive, get slicks, and you might hit high 13s

It would be nice if you gave us what your 60ft times were because they can help determine what the problem is... Most likely it is your driving that netted you the crappy times..(no offense i can't even drive yet) You know how much whp your pumping out and what psi are you running at? Traction problems can contribute, too. good luck n have a nice day

I havent tuned the monster at all. Im running about 8psi but the guage reads 5.5psi. my best 60ft time was 2.4 Im looking into buying some drag radials soon.
I really need to get this thing tuned and I believe thats my biggest problems is running untuned.

for one, on 8 psi he should be running mid 13's on street tires.

secondly, what kinda boost controller are you running? if your boost gauge reads 5.5 psi, then thats all your running, not 8. check to see where your vacumm source is from the boost controller. if it's plugged into your compressor than thats why your only getting 5.5 psi. if so, T it into the FPR hose.

the 12:1 FMU and 310 injectors are probably hurting you the most. too rich. I ran an 8:1 fmu with 310's and ran a 13.6@104 with street tires. spend $30 on an 8:1 disk and see if that doesn't help.

Probably just no traction. Post your time slip and we'll look at it.

12:1 fmu with 310s? sounds like you could be running very rich.
