HELP!! automatic d16y7 wont shift right!
1997 honda civic hatch d16y7 automatic motor bone stock! just suspension work.
so i just got back home from wyoming and my hatch has been sitting in my garage for almost 3 months. it was driving perfect when i left it. i get in it today and when i drive it, it takes forever to shift. it'll go but it wont shift till about 4500rpm. and it shifts hard also. i have a check engine light now also. i checked it and it said the atmospheric pressure sensor. so i changed out the ecu and still the same thing!
someone please help me i really dont have to time to swap it or else i would! i have a b16b swap sitting in my garage but i really dont have time im only home for a few days and im trying to spend time with my 16month old daughter! i just wanna get this car back on the road for right now!
any help would be greatly appreciated!!

also one more thing the shifter is now stuck in park i have to stick a key in the shift console to release it!
I'm just guessing as I had a similar problem on a 90 integra. Might be the switch on the automatic shifter handle that tells the computer what gear your in. If it doesn't see it in park or neutral you won't be able to get the key out and you might not be able to shift from park. Like I said, just a guess.
yes i understand what your saying but if that was the case it would still shift right once out of park. whatever is making it shift bad is whats not letting it shift out of park. thanks though!
anybody else??
