difference between eg6 sir and eg6 vti??
SiR and VTi are often different names for the same trim. It's usually dependent on the country the car was originally sold in. Similar to the Si/SiR/VTi (EM1).
Some cars by the name VTi don't have a DOHC VTEC engine, but instead have a SOHC engine. You probably won't hear much about that car on online forums though since it's not sought after.
Being able to tell the difference for sure between the two cars you're referring to depends on which country they're both coming from. I'm betting the differences will be minimal overall.
All EG6s will be hatches with DOHC VTEC (B16A/B16A-)engines though.
Upon further research, it appears the JDM EG6 was referred to as the SiR and SiR-2. The SiR-2 (not so sure about the SiR) was also available in automatic transmission.
The VTi (EG6) was available elsewhere, including New Zealand and Europe. They were also called the VTi-S.
