Default LS motor with CTR pistons

Any body here ever run this set-up or know of anybody that has ran this set-up?
CTR pistons(81.25mm)with a OEM 3-layer gasket ran with cower cams. Acorrding to Bojangs site the compression will be 11.69

http://www.bojangs.com/calculator/

The question at hand, are there any type of clearance problems once your start tuning timing and cam gears?

TIA

You can double check it on http://www.c-speedracing.com . They have a CR calculator in the upper right corner of the main page.

By the way change your signature. Bold Caps are annoying.

my friend HAD that setup until he blew his motor, the shop he took it to milled his head 30thous, which he didnt ask for...way to much compression.

if you run ctr pistons in ls block you'll have to retard the timing

Damn, thats messed up bro... Is he going to get anything out of it since the shop screwed him?

But yeah, I just wanna know how reliable it will be? And if theres any clearance problems after tuning? IM really considering this build up in a 4th gen hatch or crx or Maybe a 6th gen hatch.

Thanks for info bro.

Yeah I had a machine shop mill my head 40 thousandths (the service limit) without asking. I'm also running CTR pistons, but in a b16a so the compression is only around 11.6:1 after the milling.
