Default question about wiring harness d16y8

I have a 2000 civic ex with a blown d16y8. i am looking at swapping in a d16z6 a gen older engine. im wondering if anyone knows how that swap will work out. do i need a obd-1 wire harness for the z6 or can i keep my y8 harness and about the ecu. can i keep the stock p2p ecu if the y8 harness work for the z6 engine? or do i need a obd-1 harness with the p28? im not looking for performance right now but just need the car to be up and running reliably. fuel economy isnt so good now a days so i cant really afford to do a bigger swap. if anyone can help me out thanks.

get a p28 ecu, obd2b to obd1 ecu conversion harness and to make it simple, a obd2 to obd1 dizzy plug adaptor. rywire.com has it all. then you will need to swap the drivers side engine mount, and the exhaust might also need to be modified. also the injector plugs for the y8 wont work for the z6 injectors so you may as well swap them over too. its easy
