d16y8 swap i need hepl with wiring harness
Im wondering how i can use my obd1 harness which doesnt have the hook ups for v tec since my old motor was a d15b8. the motor that i bought they cut the harness like a dumbass would but i still have all the connectors on the motor so idk i kno i need a new ecu but really dont wanna have to get a new harness if i dont have to but if thats what it is thats what it is so just let me kno if theres any solutions and if i need to rewire please go into detail to my prob thanks

Are you sure the old harness works?
What i'd do is find one for a d16z6 that isn't hacked, that way its obd1 and you have the VTEC wires.
if you use obd1 harness on the y8, you'll need to swap your OBD1 Guts out of your distributor into the y8 housing, change the IM (because the injectors are different) use your OBD1 Alternator. Also, your driver side mount is different, so you'd either need the body mount out of a y8 (96-00) or unbolt your mount off your old engine.
in case you didn't know
