Default exhaust headers on new head

i got a 01 lx im putting the ex head in but dont knoe for sure if i can keep the lx headers (cat) with the new head. if someones done it please help.

another thing is, if i wanna eliminate the cat all together whats the simplest way to do that? thanks for all your help

1. Yes, you can run the LX header (there's only one, so there's no need for the "s" at the end) and catalytic converter setup.

2. To eliminate your catalytic converter completely, you would need the following:
- either an EX header or an aftermarket header
- a "test pipe" to replace the space where the b-pipe/cat. would normally sit on an EX
- a way to prevent CEL codes from the secondary O2 sensor (de-foulers or an O2 simulator)

PS. Eliminating your catalytic converter won't gain you nearly anything, performance wise.
