bouncy!
I bought my crx already lowered so i dont know what kind of springs were used(is there any way to find out? they are black) But after riding it around for a couple of months i'm getting tired of the bouncy ride...i gotta slow WAY down when i see a dip in the road or ELSE! It has stock shocks and its lowered about 2-2.5" what are the symptoms of blown shocks? what should i buy to make the ride better? Thanks
edit: oh yeah and i have 2000 civic EX 14" steelies with 185/70 tires upfront and 195/70 on the back.

the springs are probobly just cut stockies... bad shocks would give you more of a wavy bump... if it's jerking that you probobly should just check the springs...
When I put some 2" drop suspension tecniques springs on my car with the stock shocks, the shocks started bottoming out,the fluid started leaking out of them, and the ride was like you're describing. My local tire shop put some Monroe shocks on that he said were set up for the shorter length and it rides great now (lifetime waranty for less than half the cost of Konis)
How much were those? Where can i find them? Are they the Monroe Gas-Matics? Right now, it feels really solid on regular roads, but its the dips and bumps that are harsh. I can take this dip going 35-40(speed limit) in my 86 bmw with no problem at all, but i have to slow down to under 15 in my rex and its STILL a little harsh.

I'll get my receipt out of my car and let you know the exact model # tonight... I got them from Les Shwab which is a pretty big chain of tire stores up here in the pacific NW.
