Default HondaMotorsonline problem....

well i got my swap about 3-4 monthes ago...
it was clean and complete...
it was a 97 JDM GSR complete swap...
its installed just recently...
and i realize that i have a Hydro b16 tranny... not to mention
that it grinds in 2,3,4 gears...i changed the tranny fluid, and bled the clutch
i did everything i could...

it also had a dented to hell oil pan...

im just a little upset that i didnt "get" what i "ordered"
which should be a GSR tranny... i cant rebuild this b16 tranny
cuz of the JDM gears arent the same as US gear sets...

i dont know what to do.. do i have a right to complain?? i feel like i should be compensated in some way...

i WANT a Non Dented oil pan... but i dont know what to do about the tranny.

he still hasnt returned my phone call..

dude
pound out the oil pan
dont bitch about it being dented
when you sit a 400lb engine on a piece of aluminum and put it on a truck its gonna get dented
it takes an hour to take it off and pound it out.

and for the transmission, dont know what to tell you.

there's know way of telling from the outside that gears are stripped or anything. Maybe you throw out bearing isn't aligned or working right, maybe the shift linkage, maybe how you shift, no telling.

they gave you a non-gsr tranny, and grinds?? that sucks...i believe you have the right to complain...even for the oil pan...call 'em (keep on trying) and tell them what the problem is, if they ignore you, try filing a complaint at BBB. when my friend ordered a swap from import auto salvage, they were considerate enough to replace all the parts that were damaged (sensors, pulleys, etc)... i believe they should too.

Steve knows when hes wrong hes wrong an has proven it many times.Dont hold back, nicely call him an explain in nice tone of voice the problem an I can totally see him remeding the problem. The oil pan is only cause of the motor resting on it for any period of time. Also gettin the wrong tranny could possible not be his fault since a motor an tranny usualy come pieced toghether when he buys it.Maybe the crashed car he pulled the swap outa had that tranny on it an he never realized it figuring it should have technically came with a gsr tranny right out the factory. If he pulled the swap outa a wrecked car which is where most come from he has no idea if the tranny was ever replaced.Steve doesnt answer every call because every call is fowared to his cell phone an even I who live 10min from his shop can only get threw to him after maybe 3 phone calls.Trust me steve wil help you out as long as you keep your cool an explain the problem nicely.GOOD LUCK.

Sucks that the tranny is fucked, but if I were to choose a tranny, it'd be the B16 anyways... Good luck on sorting things out...
