Default mounts for auto to manual conversion

i'm going to do an automatic to 5 speed swap on my EG and i need to know which mounts to get to make this work. i have read elsewhere that i need the upper trans mount and the front trans stabilizer to make it work. i also read somewhere else that i need a new rear mount. can anyone confirm this? thanks.

You need an AT-MT conversion mount for the top of the trans, and you need the manual trans torque mount.

You will need either a Hasport EGAMH mount which will let you install a hydraulic tranny into your automatic EG chassis. Or you will need to custom fabricate one. I did an aut to manual on my 94 de Sol and we had one custom made since I was not going to be punishing the car with boost yet. But eventually I will be getting the mount since I am planning on boosting and want everything to work ok..

I understand Place Racing also sells this mount a bit more affordable but in a different finish not chrome/polished as the Hasport mount..

You dont have to get the Hasport mount, I forget which brand I bought but it worked great and did the same thing for a fraction of the cost, but it wasn't as bling

Exactly there are other options, as I mentiones Place racing had one.. but I can't seem to find it on the net..

Which one did you use? where did you purchase? how much did it cost?

I prefer the [b]drill out tranny mount brackets on both auto and manual cars and then weld the manual bracket onto the auto chassis[b] method.

Takes a little bit o time but I think it makes for a nicer install, IMO.

I've used the Hasport one before on a friends car and it's still going strong after 3 years.

GL with your project.
