94 civic dx starting problem
Was driving it one day and all the sudden the battery light came on. I was making a left turn and it sounded like some screw/nut fell down from something in the engine and that's when the light came on.
Kept driving and the next day I went to start it and it cranked all weak-like. Drove it around and it felt weird, like it wanted to cut off. Parked it and let it run for a bit and it did cut off.
Tried to start it again and I needed a jumpstart. Took the battery to autozone and charged it.
Put it back in and it wont start still.
Could this be the alternator? If it is, are they expensive? :x
Thanks

If something fell off in the engine, I would say that it is the alternator tensioning bolt. Check to see if your alternator belt is tight or even on. Autozone can check your alternator to see if it is charging properly if you take it to them. If your car won't start, you'll have to take it out for them to check it. If that is the problem, they can price one for you or you can check a salvage yard. I have been driving and building Hondas for at least 10 years now, and have never had an alternator go out.
